Contracting entity

Who enters the agreement

The legal entity that is a party to an agreement. It is the specific organisation named in the documents, not simply the trading name or group shown on a sales record.

An example

The CRM account is called Northstar Group, but the order names Northstar Singapore Pte. Ltd. The team checks whether the existing MSA covers that entity before applying the parent company’s negotiated terms.

What to check

Entity scope, affiliate coverage and authorised signature should be checked against the actual documents.

In practice

Read the entity and affiliate provisions together with the order. A familiar logo, common ownership or shared email domain does not on its own confirm that the same agreement applies.
