Renewal uplift

Change at renewal

An increase in a renewal price or recurring value compared with a clearly identified baseline. It should describe a like-for-like change, so changes in quantity or product scope do not get mistaken for a price increase.

An example

A same-scope renewal rising from S$100,000 to S$107,000 has a 7% uplift. A two-year offer at S$105,000 in each year applies a 5% increase once, then holds that annual price flat; it is not a 5% increase every year.

What to check

Separate a price increase from changes in quantity, scope, currency or term. The agreement and policy determine what applies.

In practice

Check the starting amount, effective date and whether the increase compounds. State separately any extra licences or services, so the customer and reviewer can see what explains the total change.
