Co-termination

Aligning end dates

Arranging for related subscriptions or commitments to end on the same date. It can make renewals easier to manage by bringing additions onto an existing renewal date.

An example

A main subscription ends on 31 December. An add-on starting on 1 July is sold for six months so both can renew together on 1 January, rather than creating a separate July renewal.

What to check

The shorter term may affect pricing, proration and renewal treatment. Confirm the documents reflect the intended dates.

In practice

Check the shortened initial term and its price calculation, then make the later renewal treatment clear. Sharing an end date does not necessarily mean the subscriptions share every contractual condition.
